I'm not up on new technology, not even close. When I walk through the store I don't know if I'm looking at LCD, DLP or Plasma. I know that most of these sets, when I first see them, knock my socks off. Then I stand and watch them for about 20 seconds and I see the defects. LCD seems like maybe a more familiar technology than plasma, and perhaps more service friendly (read: easier to tote in the shop and then out to the dumpster) but I can't offer a real opinion of picture quality. The best color I've seen remains the same: 30-50 year old tube chassis sets.
