Two of my best high school buddies and I, sat down one night and spent 3 or 4 hours trying to figure out a solenoid activated switch, and a way to route clean air around a 6-71 supercharger into a V8. We never got all the bugs ironed out, but we sure had a ton of fun thinking about it.

Magnetic clutch, you could have it slip too, so you could have full boost at lower rpm, then slip as the motor's rpms rise. Would be easier to do on a Eaton type supercharger
