For a little update, if you haven't done "Max 2" on Blu-Ray, you should consider it. As rough and dirty as some of shots can be, the thing looks great, with sweat and grit in clear detail.
In seeing the film again, I was struck by how sincere the opening narrative felt, even though it was made to be a kind of pseudo-pompous 'serious moment' to set up the craziness that follows.
AND: how many know where the Arriflex 35mm unmanned camera shows up in a shot?

I gonna make you beg....
