I love 'em too! I don't see how a person couldn't. That is so freakin' cool that it is your childhood set. There must be an amazing amount of memories attached to it. I wish my childhood set was this cool. We had an '81 "sears" set with a three button electronic ultrasonic remote. The remote quit working in about '90, I fixed it but it only lasted another year. The set died in about '95, had billions of hours on it and the CRT went dead, I threw it in a dumpster after kicking in the front.
