I see that "European" style of cabinet around the CRT. That is, instead of a bezel like everyone in the USA did it, these TVs you can see the sidewalls of the CRT. Doing it this way could make for a shallower looking cabinet (front to back), you save about 4cm that way. But it must have looked too strange to American consumers, as no American TV maker or seller ever did this style.
