There is a large resistor network on the 9-155 video module that probably needs to be resoldered. Also, resolder all three video output transistors on this module. Or better yet, resolder everything on the module.
As far as the vertical problem, I seem to remember a 9-152 having bad solder connections around the vertical output transistors. Those are the transistors located on the heatsinks. There could also be a defective electrolytic cap in the vertical circuit.
Those pesky edge connectors were also prone to fail. Clean them very well with Deoxit and make sure they are making good contact with the module.
I know I don't have any boards left for these sets. I have not done any serious troubleshooting on one in years.
Your version with the 9-153 HV module and the self regulating power transformer is not a very common set. That was the first generation System 3 chassis and was only made for a year and a half at best.
The second generation System 3 chassis used a 9-160 power supply / HV module in place of the older 9-153 and the power transformer. All other modules are the same.
