Remembering that these episodes were shot in 68 or 69, it was probably pretty hard to look so far into "the future".
The computers certainly look cheesy now, almost 40 years later.
But some things they had right. In the episode I saw Saturday Night,
Requiem for Methuselah, there was a large flat viewing screen, not very unlike the Plasma TV that I was watching it on!
