Well, here's a new development.
I checked all the wires that looked likely and they all seem to be connected to something.
I let the set play for a while and after about 20 minutes, the screen turned distinctly purple. Hmm. Purple means blue showed up.
So I did the grey scale thingie again and got a nice blue line. When I went back to the broadcast, I had regular color.
I'm hoping this is a tube, as I just spent 32 bucks on new tubes that the manual said might need replacing. Will try 'em out when I get home.
Looks like I'm having slightly better luck with this one than with that Dumont!
