Way to go, Doug! I'm laughing my butt off! I'm like you in that I'd normally not do something like that; but, given how they treated you, I'm glad you pulled one over on them. Of course, they went belly up, just like the last two or three thrift stores around here that were @$$holes. I look for the one that I bought the TV from to go under real soon.
OTOH, I have a friend that sets up at flea markets and has done so for the past 25+ years. He has a friendly attitude towards customers and he'll usually work with you if the price seems high. His theory is that as long as you are making a profit, sell it! It all goes back to how you treat people. That's why he's been going for so long.
