I've used to see a lot of European sets as a kid. Normende and Grundig were a lot more common than SABA. For some reason they has a bad reputation in this area and were given up long before Japanese sets of a similar age. The local (now long gone) repair shop wouldn't work on them at all.
The last SABA set I had was a 80s monitor style set. If it wasn't for the 7 segement LED display it could easily be mistaken for a more recent set. It was unusual for a relatively old set to have not just composite video, but RGB inputs. I gave it to a friend when their set died and it was still going strong when they "upgraded". I don't know who ended up with it after that, but hopefullly someone is still getting use out of it.
