Thanks for keeping an eye out on this. I thought the tech would be able to fix the board, but it may be that the parts on it are as tough as getting the board itself. I have to pick it up as-is this weekend (unless I found parts to make him hold it longer) and just pay the standard diagnostic fee and then figure out what else to do with it. I'll found out which board he was referring to.

I do know he was able to force the set on and verified the CRT is good. He said he was not able to adjust the volume, channels, etc...that way unless the board was ordered and replaced. Does that make sense?

Otherwise, does anyone know anybody in MD who could troubleshoot further or have interest in the set?
