Is it worth it to you to fix it? Having worked on several Trinitrons, the last one being very recently, I am not too fond of them. I do know that trinitron CRT's wear slowly, and are built differently from normal CRT's. It might be possible for your tester to give an inaccurate reading.
I had one Trinitron that had an awful picture, but playing with several adjustments inside the set improved it greatly.
