thanks for the replys back..But what i have been trying to find out is if it is true what the magazine article states..First in order of Black and White solid state sets,
1) Philco safari (1959)
2) Motorola Astronaut.(1960).(this is the one i am interested in finding out about.)
3) the Sony 8-301W (1961)..
I have been told different things over the few years that Sony was first,and others tell me the philco was the first..so now I see it is truely the philco safari was first THEN the Motorola Astronaut..and 3rd the sony.
..anyone have the motorola astronaut?,must be a rare set as i have never seen one up for sale
