That set is rare, even in this country... You can expect the channel number to show up in the center of the round knob (provided the bulb isn't burned out). Zenith called that little projector system "bullseye tuning", and they used it from the late 50s to late 60s.

If you look closely at the upper knob on this 1966 set, you should be able to see the number "9". That's about how it wil display on your set. (Better in real-life, washed-out in the picture)
