Yes, Sony apparently made tubes for both TVs and PC monitors in the USA. I believe that they started assembling 19" sets in San Diego, then moved toward larger sizes like 27", while they then started to build 19" in Tijuana. (surprise surprise, sounds familiar?) Near the end of the CRT era, only the largest sets were built in San Diego.

Anyone know if they still make anything in the San Diego plant.

I wonder if the "tap the CRT to make the picture come back" tubes were made there?
