OK, I admit I jumped the gun as far as asking if it had been plugged in. Just consider it a late April fools joke. One would think that I'd learned my lesson after plugging in the CTC38 that caught fire. It appeared that lightning struck it and carbonized the PC board where the diodes are located. That was years ago and I've learned to be a LITTLE more cautious about plugging things (especially things with wax capacitors inside) in without looking them over.
It's always more cool to find vintage electronics at a giveaway price! A lot better deal than ep(l)ay!
