OK,movie trivia buffs..here's another one!!
 

You all did SO GOOD the last time, figuring out that movie I only saw the very beginning of as a child($) or "dollars". I now know what it is and such.

So..... HERE is ANOTHER one.. See if you have any idea of THIS one. I saw part of it, probably about the last 20 minutes or so. It is an old movie, If my memory serves me right, it was BW, but I am not sure. ( I last saw this probably 25 years ago.)

What I remember is this.

It is a space movie, and some crew of astronauts (I think) is on some planet or something. I guess it is a threat to the Earth, because at a point near the end, I THINK an ICBM was launched to destroy this planet(or asteroid or such ). So...the team of explorers is ordered to evacuate the area. however..one of them goes into a cave or building or somethig, out of curiousity. I think he was trying to figure out who the "leader is" or somethihg. he comes up to this "thing" and it has a bunch of flashing lights or such on it. IIRC, it is a huge thing .with a bunch of columns of flashing lights. He says as he nears this thing..."This is it..the electronic brain". and begins to be mesmerized by it. All the while, time runs out for him, and he is left by the rest of the crew, while the missile zeros in on the place...and while he is standing in front of this thing...a nuclear explosion vapes the place. (I think..ALL of these are 25 year old memories or so...)

Any ideas???
