question about RCA XL-100

guys-- i just picked up a 1994 model as mentioned, 27" screen, for a guest room. no remote, no manual. i cannot figger out how to get it to show signal from DVD player. has cable coax input and yellow video input. i have sat coax going into coax input, DVD going into yellow video.

there is no control for going back and forth between the two sources. there is no S-video either. what am i missing?

thanx

if it's anything like other Thomson sets of that vintage, tuning the TV to channel 91 should do it.That's where the video input is on a lot of those sets, including my '95 ProScan (CTC-169 chassis).

If that doesn't work, then there would have been a TV/video button on the remote. Most universals should be able to do that for you. If it's a hotel model, then that feature might be disabled. Can you access all the menus?

don't think it was a hotel model. all menus can be reached with the menu button on the control panel. i've even got a couple old rca remotes around, but neither works, even with fresh batteries...

can't get it to go to channel 91, or 92, or a lot of channels btw 68 and 99. ideas?

hey i bet you if you push 00 it will go straight to video input. try it. steve
seriously these sets use 00 for video input.

If it wont go over channel 69 its not in cable mode; it thinks it's hooked up to an antenna.
