It's a REAL beauty...My parents purchased a Sony B&W portable in the mid-1960s (a miniature tank-of-a-TV) and it looked NOTHING like this one. Almost looks like a studio monitor. Very, VERY nice...wonder if it works?

Looks like it belongs in a museum...sweet!

Bobby Brady 12-05-2006 11:35 AM

I'd pay $1000.00 for that!

If I had an extra $1000.00
That is something I would love to have.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to it. I wish it would go to a museum since I can't have it!

Unused transistor radios from that era seem fairly common, I have a number of them myself. Likely Christmas presents that somebody didn't want so they spent their life in a drawer somewhere. But this, this was too expensive not to use! Wow, very clean, complete...some of these get really beat up looking. There won't be many in this condition to ever turn up again.

up to $370.

I wish I could bid on that! I'd pay $20K for that if I had the money!

Maybe that kind of think'n is why I can't afford it.

I'm going to call my doctor.

Closed at $770.00 :yikes:
Not all that amazing since you'll probably never see another one in that condition.

Not much considering clean used ones have been going for $300-$400 on a good day. These sets vary a lot on ebay. I've seen plenty of dented up ones go for way more than nice looking ones.
