About the 25cc55 chassis.....
The 25cc55 chassis IS solid state. It is from 1972( "c" line zenith color sets ,and other products are 1972 models). I know this from looking at my zenith technical manuals I have acquired over the last 20 years or so. The chassis is laid out like the 4 tuibe hybrid sets, but, it has a solid state deflection system in place of the tube deflection system on those hybrids. The first solid state zenith color set was the 40bc50 chassis, from 1971, but not many of those were produced. The following year, for 1973, zenith introduced the 25dc56 chassis, with a constant-voltage power transformer, but otherwise similar to the 25cc55.
I simply do not have room for that set, as I have recently came into several console classic color sets, including my "64 zenith roundie combo from e-bay. I do hope someone else will have room, as that is a beautiful set, and it deserves a good home, not a burial .
