I got this out of the place in Charlotte. The neck of the 24CP4 was busted. I have a 24AEP4 will that cross? I may try to contact the man that had the picture tubes in Virgnia. I saw that his ad was pulled from ETF. The set is complete except for the control door cover.

The 24CP4 amd 24AEP4 will not cross. According to the basings, the CP uses magnetic focus and the AEP has a focus grid. You may use the AEP if you want to tap voltage out of circuit for focus.

BigDave,

Thanks! I will keep looking for the correct tube. I would like to make this my Tv shop TV. It is kind of ratty but I like it. I do not see many 24" RCA televisions. I'm glad it was not a 27", I would never find that CRT.

Just out of curiosity, would that really be that difficult..? Didn't a number of set manufacturers just put a jumper in the CRT socket to connect an otherwise existing voltage to the focus pin..?
