Hello everybody. I've just discovered in a friend's attic this small Zenith console tv. Unfortunately the tv is missing one of the four tubes and I have no schematic to track it.The list glued on one internal side of the cabinet is partially faded. Is there anybody out there capable of telling me the missing tube type?
Thanks
Marco

it should be a 6JA5, the vertical tube.

I'm assuming this wasn't an attic in Italy? That set will have a great picture when you get it working... Can you post a picture of the whole thing?

Hello and thank you very much for the help. Yes, the attic is in Italy, near the town of Florence. I found two Zenith sets in that attic. The other seems much older than this. I'll post pictures of the other zenith as soon as I get the chance to do it. I made several photos of the " younger" set but I'm quite bad with photos. Anyway here are the pictures.

I have another question... Tube list inside the cabinet shows the chassis model as 25CC50 but closely inspection revealed there should be more tubes instead of only four. I think the chassis is not the 25CC50 neither is the 25CC55 that is a fully transistorized chassis. Any clue about what chassis type could it be? On an old catalog i found a picture of a tv very similar to mine...

You might want to check the tube types in the Horiz output and Damper if the are 20LF6 and 19DQ3 the Vert output should be 10JA5. If they start with 6 the vert output should be 6JA5. Zenith used different heater voltage tubes in some of the 4 tube chassis. For some reason I don't feel that is the right chassis for that set. The one in there may be a 25CC25.

Great find there, it looks a bit like my 1970/71 Zenith 23 inch Chromacolor, the channel knobs are the same.
