Cute little trinitron I plan to snag....(kv-8ad10)
 

There is a little Sony tv at the shop I work for.... it is a KV-8ad10 It is NOT an old set(1989) and has digital contol and all, but I like it already...It' s kinda cute. At only 8" it is small for a trinitron, too, and I THINK it is Ac/dc too!! I suspect it will have a GREAT picture, when repaired. I do NOT know what is wrong with it.

Anyone else ever see/have this set??

I have one of these- It also has AM/FM with a seperate speaker(same cabinet) It does have a very nice pic and the shop I got it from claimed that it had "all of its power supply replaced"(??? OK..) This was a few months back and I got it for 10 bucks so it was worth it. Although it isnt my favorite era of TV sets , it seems to be of high quality .

I've had one of these since new (I use it to align satellite dishes).

I've had people come up to me and say "I've got one of these, and mine won't turn on". I Change the power switch transistor and away they go.

Was this one of the last consumer sets Sony built in Japan? AFAIK, the 8" set that succeeded it was made in San Diego.
