Ladyes and gentelmens, comrades, here is finally, at last my vintage Romanian color tv set, Telecolor 3007. It’s the second type of colur tv set Made in Romania (the first one was Telecolor 3006, in 1983 - I’ve never seen one). In enharited the set in 2003, toghther with instruction book, the schematic, the recipt and the varanty certificate. Unfortnely, I had to change the line output transformer.
ACTHUNG! The image displayed on the screen is generated by the tuner of the V.C.R. concted to the set!!!

Manufacturing date: December the 5th, 1984
Manufacturer former Întreprinderea “Electronica” (“Electronica” Plant) from Bucharest, Romania - the sets where asambled under G.D.R. licence
Date o boughting: December the 25th, 1984
Price 14,400 lei (aprox 8-11 sallaryes!!! :jawdrop:) - aquyred on December the 7th, 1984
Sistem P.A.L./SECAM - automatic comunitation of the standard; it recives channels 1-12 (VHF) and 21-65 (UHF) acording to O.I.R.T. and C.C.I.R standards, 6 memory buttons with mechanical programing and memory, button number 6 is also use for V.C.R. input (via an RF cable)
Picture tube: A 56-701X, 110 degrees deflexion, in line shadow mask, 56 cm (22”) screen diagonale; electromagnetic dexflexion; picture tube “Toshiba” (Made in Japan) :rockon: - unfourtenley the picture tube is 3 or 4th qualty (but better than those garbage in our days Made in China :upyours:, Taiwan :upyours:, Thailand :up yours:, Indonesia :upyours:,Turkey :upyours: or Malaysia :smoke: :worried: ), and not with those poor made by “Unitra” (Poland)
Weight: aprox. 31 kg (68.4 lbs)

Voltage: 220V (+10%, -20%) @50Hz

Automatic controls: 1. Vertical and horyzontal sincornization; 2.Image dimension; 3. Automatic adjument of the amplification; 4. Standard comutation (PAL/SECAM); 5. A.F.C. (Automatic Freqeuncy Control) - with the help of a button it can be switch on/off
Other stuff: 1. Output for audio tape recording (via 5 D.I.N. concetor) and phones (via an 5 DIN conector) (when you insert the phones conector the speakers dosen’t turn off automaticly-if you want to turn it off you must press a button); 2. On/Off button for the speaker; 4. Tonality adjusment knob; 5. Wired remote control (the remote control is optional) - if I want to put one on the the set nowdays it’ll cost me 100 new lei (the minimal wage in Romania is 310 new lei!!!) :jawdrop:

The majority of the semiconductors, the channle selctor, the programator are Made in G.D.R (East-Germnay), some of them are Made in former Ch, a few capacitors (“I.P.E.E.”) and the I think the case in Romania.

The only U.S.A. tv on the cable is "CNN", and is not displayed 24 h. :sigh: :thumbsdn:

That's great set. It reminds me so much of the British TVs when I was a kid and I lived in Scotland. I love the way the picture tube sticks out of the cabinet slightly. They never adopted that style here in the US, too bad.

I think I found the G.D.R. that form which Telecolor 3007 was copyed :D (with licence) :smoke:

Very interesting. I wonder if the circuitry advanced more in those ten or so years than did the cabinetry.
