Nifty looking mid 70's? 7" Panasonic on the Bay

Say, that's really a neat looking little color set! Also, it has the older (but not the super-old) Panasonic logo, so it must have been made before, what... I think it was 1972 or so when Matsushita changed the logo.

Hmm, I may even bid on it if it doesn't go up too high..!

I think that set is on a catalog page that someone posted in another thread. It's an interesting set, but I think I'm going to stop myself from bidding. I wonder if it uses a delta gun CRT? At 7" it could be about as small as they went unless the 4.5" set in the same catalog used a delta gun CRT.

That it would be. It went by the wonderfully outer-spacey name of Pana-Port Seven, and is indeed from aout 1971. For those of you who missed the original post with the catalog, here's the page Andy mentioned. The descrip says the Pana-Port Seven is "Solid-State engineered". So is my Batesville, and it's got tubes. Hmm...

I have the CT 28 in my collection. Nice to see the flyer.

I really want this guy. It's small, and it's just perfect.

Does anyone have Sams 1294-1? You can tell us if it's tube, or solid state. As usual, I have 1293, but not 1294.

I'm thinking it's probably solid state.

I do too...if it was tube type the cabinet would have to be bigger and it could not run on batteries as the brochure claims...although, it may use a high voltage rectifier tube.
