Right Out From Under Me
 

Found a thrift store that was open today. Very nice mid '70s 19" RCA XL-100 table model with a neat console-style cabinet. $4.94. Nothing wrong that a contrast adjustment and some contact cleaner wouldn't fix. I hemmed, I hawed, and decided yeah, I HAD to get it. But some guy was standing near it looking kinda like he wanted it, and I saw him with a receipt a couple minutes later. Guess what the receipt was for.

And it was such a happy new year 'til then.
