Zenith 14A9C50 flyback interchangeability

3 Attachment(s)
So I have this 14A9C50 (I think from 1970) 22" Zenith metal cabinet color TV with a bad flyback - The part number on the one in there is S-84980 (1st picture)

I have 3 others that might work -

2nd picture left side - I don't know what this is from and can't find a part number - but it looks nearly identical - but the board is cracked and I would have to pull the flyback off and mount it on a different board

2nd picture right side - I pulled this out of an older 22" metal cabinet color Zenith I parted out, a "Y" chassis, part number is S-79640 - It was good at the time I pulled it

3rd picture - I have a 12A12C52 Zenith 25" color console with a bad CRT I was considering parting out anyway, the part number on the fly is S-84981

----

According to the sams 1097-3 the flyback for the 14A9C50 are S-83360, or S-82941.

But there are 3 different versions of the 14A9C50 in the Zenith factory manuals:

In CM-116 it has S-82941 - same as the sams.
In CM-116S2, the "late production" chassis it has S-84980 - same as the one in my set.
In CM-117S1, the "revised late production" chassis, it has S-88567.

According to a 1981 Thordarson cross reference ALL the part numbers I listed cross to FLY 363. So am I good swapping in the S-79640 or S-84981? Can anyone identify the unknown one with the cracked board?

I checked a 1979 Zenith Parts price book and it crossed all three numbers you listed to one of their "kits", part number 800-690. So it would seem all three are interchangeable. Oddly, the book don't even list a S-88567.

Odd, the feb 1978 parts list shows NONE of S-##### or
the kit ##.

I found the numbers in the section of the price book titled "Zenith Available Substitute Parts Information".
