For some reason (I assume because it's been unplugged for a while and every component has totally cooled down) our 27" Zenith Advanced System 3 console is working flawlessly. Guessing that it will make for an easier repair if I get something to cool down components when it starts acting up again (jumpy picture ... previous thread). The reason I am writing today is that it looks like we may have to get rid of it. My father-in-law may be moving in with us and we will need to reconfigure the room it is in.

Is there anyone in Southern California (90275 zip code) who might want this? The CRT seems as good as when new to me, though I have no way to test it. Picture quality/color and sound are both excellent. The back panel allows for RCA composite inputs, as well as s-video (same sound input as composite so not two extras, just one), and a loop for a cable box. Pretty advanced for 1990, I guess. Boards are not original, but the newest one is from about 2004 and I changed a couple leaking capacitors on the other about a year or so ago.

Hasn't really been used much over the past 15 years ago so.

If we do have to get rid of it, I really hate to throw it away, so I am pre-asking...

Well, looks like my son wants it ... what can I use to cool off the components once it starts acting up again?

If you don't have freeze spray, air duster makes a good substitute.
