Philco B-412UBE
1 Attachment(s)
I dug this little Philco 12" BW out today and fired it up and all was well with a Deoxit wash. Pic is a bit wide and I will see if that is adjustable. i did the top and bottom adjustments. AGC action is not good if it is even in there. No idea how long I have had it. I could not find any trace of it on the web. All tube and Philco/Ford made in Taiwan. My guess is 1967-68. A Beltron test says the CRT is like new with a few hours of warm-up from a long sleep. Keeper.

Looks good. Philco B&W's realy improved at the end. The last ones that were SS were quite good.
Color a different story. The hybrid was a great chassis. When they went SS they cloned the RCA SCR sweep/HV chassis. They were real dogs. Still would be fun to work on one. 73 Zeno:smoke: LFOD ! |

Philco
I never saw one like that Dave, I'm more familiar with the 9" B-310 made in Taiwan, which operated on 12 volts like the GE "cube", a domestic built all SS.
Was that one made in Taiwan ? |
Yes, it is Taiwan.
