DIY Stairstep Generator

I added a 555 timer chip to produce a TV-H clock so it uses only 2 chips. The output resistor was replaced with a 2K pot with the wiper connected to a 470/16 cap to decouple the DC. (Also note the Vdd and Vss connections are incorrect for a 16 pin chip.)
It works well for analog and some digital sets. The stairstep signal is used to evaluate differential gain problems with a video signal.
