CLD-980 Pioneer Laser Player Problem
I have a separate room that was added to my house that the A/C unit broke. If I try to play a laser disc during normal temperatures it will not play. It is 93 degrees outside now and when I try playing a laser disc it works fine. Could this is be a simple fix?

If the problem is with loading the disc and getting it to start spinning, the problem could be the belt. That is the one thing I have had trouble with on Pioneer players.

I've seen electrolytic capacitors that wouldn't work properly causing cold start issues until heated up a little bit with a hair dryer.
My old 1985 vintage Sony Laserdisc player has had the same belt issue ChrisW6ATV mentioned too. |
