I remember finding a VHS copy of this on my desk the next morning. And, a request to investigate. The reason why the message was visible was that HBO briefly cut their feed when they noticed some anomalies in the downlink at their TOC. It didn't take the FCC long to find the source nor the person responsible. The FCC got DOJ involved. The responsible party was given free housing, free clothing, free medical care, free job training in another career field, and doesn't have to worry about being summoned for jury duty, or the ammo shortage. The owner of the uplink facility had an interesting time with the FCC over this escapade. One of the few times the FCC did it "right".
