5$ score. 1967? Zenith color console
 

This morning I randomly decided to check marketplace for tvs and low and bholed there is a listing for this console for $5. Long story short we get out there and it turns out it is leftover from an estate sale. It was in a very fitting basement. Only trouble was the steep staircase. The man who owned the house is 100 and a ww2 vet.

That set is classy and clean. If it still has mostly Zenith tubes then it may be low hour.

The CRT looks like a Sylvania replacement, according to the label.
I thought the HV cage cover was missing, but it was open.

Actually, I believe the crt is a still a Zenith.

Can you see an EIA code on it? 312 would be Sylvania. 343 would be Zenith, but, IIRC, at one time Zenith CRTs were made by Rauland, which was owned by Zenith and may have been EIA code 1101. Seems like Rauland still exists today in Chicago.

Over the years I've seen tubes with the typical Sylvania looking labels with black printing on yellow that did say Zenith.

Zenith sourced it's first 21FBP/FJP22 CRTs from RCA till it could make them. Also there was a color TV shortage around 1967 (consumer demand increased rapidly beyond supply) smaller brands bought from whoever had stock in a given week, the bigger brands probably did better but there's no guarantee Zenith or RCA didn't have to buy from other sources to meet customer orders...
