Sony Trinitron kv-1201 issue

This tv worked fine for a while and then one day it just stopped. Now it only shows this line. I replaced a bad capacitor but it still does this. Any Ideas?

You have lost horz deflection. It is almost always a bad cap in series
with horz winding of the yoke. Its a special non polarized electrolytic
& a wrong sub will quickly fail.
If you order a manual there are at least 2 versions of this set.
You need model, chassis & serial numbers to get the right one.

What's more amazing is that the SCR didn't short and take the power supply with it.

Check all connections and solder joints. If that sounds like a pain, it is. But good chance it's simply a loose connection.

You can always try the caveman method.

Could also be a broken wire or bad connection to the horizontal coils of the yoke. The KV-1201 didn't have the SG613's the blew. Those came along about '74 '75 models.
