Zenith combo?
2 Attachment(s)
Looking at this battleship. what do you suppose it is. I can tell it's a zenith but color? B/W? Looks late 1960s early 70s.

CRT curvature indicates color. If that spot on the chrome panel next to the lower tuning knob is a 3 color spot then that is Zenith's color TV logo. I'd like to say that is around the 66-67 model year. That set was made during the later part of Zeniths transition from round to rectangular color CRTs.

Cool thanks for the tip. Was kind of thinking it may be color.

The stereo in there should sound great. It's solid state, sadly, but I believe it will have around 100WPC and 15" woofers, two 4" midrange, and a horn tweeter.

An odd ball, probably a drop in. My guess is they switched to a new cabinet
but used up old parts at the end of the run. If so it will have a "dash" number after the model # do distinguish it. 1966 shows combos with the same lay out including bass & treble controls at bottom right. That style cabinet not shown. 1967 shows the same cabinet but totally different lay out & no bass & treble controls. Yes its a color. The stereo it probably uses is rated at 35 watts per channel EIA 73 Zeno:smoke: LFOD ! |
