Is it OK to replace the 2 .005mF and 2 .001mF 6000V paper caps with same values of ceramic caps (easy for me since i have them on hand)? I see most restoration doing film style axial replacements.

No. You will not be able to get linear scan with equivalent value ceramics. You will either need to use film type caps or ceramics of double the rated capacitance. One axis IIRC the vertical is much more sensitive to ceramic caps than the other.

Ceramic caps tend to have a peculiar property that the capacitance varies with the applied voltage and that is the root cause of the issue.
