Hitachi VT-7S & VT-6800S

2 Attachment(s)
hi !
this is my first post on this forum

2 weeks ago , I bought these 2 portable VHS (the 6800 comes with its separate tuner)

Of course there were belt issues
once changed, it appears that :

- the vt-7s is almost 100% working (sound and picture ok)
but picture is not perfect

-the vt-6800 plays too fast !!! I can ear the sound of the tape too fast !!
(in that case , there is not picture of course .)

So I 'm hoping ideally for the SM or some advice

Also I am afraid these 2 vcr are secam only
pal tapes play b&w but it may be a setting that is completly offset

best regards ... from France .

If I really was into electronics and all i would see if I could fix the speed of PAL movies so the video/audio WAS THE RIGHT SPEED! (May be possible with some tweaking of the motor, etc)

Good to see your first post my friend!!

hi !
well , as far as I know, there is not a trimmer to adjust
in vhs , the speed of the tape is controlled by ... many things
(there are some analogic "loops" )
for instance; the drum is accurately synchronysed with picture frequency
(180° of the drum = half a picture ; odd or even)

but I don't know exactely what control the speed in vhs
and not in this particular model
I thing it has something to do with the "ctl" signal which is recorded next to the linear audio...

Ya probably so... Its nice to think about such things though!
