Rescued this near mint set with factory original remote from dumpster along with another set I'll be posting soon. RCA works like new.

We had a set just like that for several years.

When my father was still alive, Mother wanted a wall unit. My Dad, being the butthole that he could sometimes be, said that she'd never have one. At the time he passed away in '97, we were using a mid '70's Zenith Chromacolor II 23" console that I had fixed. Within a week of Dad passing away, Mother announced that she was getting a wall unit and that the console was going to have to go. When she got the wall unit, I had an RCA just like this one and that's what we watched for several years.

I never saw an RCA table model like that! Smaller screens, consoles, rotary tuners of that model era, but none like that, with that push button layout.

I never saw a 25" RCA like that from that era before, pretty nice catch.

I assume you will have to tune to channel 91 for A/V pass-through.

I think that was on later Thomson built sets.

I had a CTC 120 from the same time period, and I think composite video was its own non numbered channel.

I think pushing 01 or 02 actually displays as A1 and A2 for inputs. On-screen displays.

Yes, the pics on these are about as good as it gets. It was nice to see the remote was still with it. Uses J type battery.

We had a black one like that from 1987...used to turn itself on in the middle of the night at full volume...and also pick up cb radio from passing trucks whether it was on or not.

I had a CTC121 with video inputs, and you'd key in channel 91 or 92 to get A1 or A2. It could do this as there were no TV channels above 82, so the 90's were available for this. This was before cable ready sets.

They could have mapped channel 00 or 01 for this as well, as there was no channel 0 or 1 either.

I had a friend that had a 25" cant remember the brand but one night, a truck went by with a cb and you could hear him talking through the set and then "pow", blew the fuse. Replaced fuse and it worked again.

This set does use the 91, 92, etc. for the A1 A2 input. Been awhile since i used one like this. Watched Land of the Lost last night on it. The series from the 70's.

I wonder how many got returned or caused their owners to send RCA nasty letters about the CB issue?

CB is the key word. I can almost guaranty he was running 100++ watts
out of a POS amp installed wrong & no filters.
I had an advanced system 3 ( 9-214 based ) & when I sent CW the
LED's blinked & sometimes the set turned on & off. I lived on
sandy soil & couldnt get a good ground. I would have to water the
ground rod a few hrs to settle it down. Other wise I had to keep it
under 50 W.
