An RCA Victor TV table, but what does it fit?
2 Attachment(s)
I picked this table up at ETF thinking it was for my 8TS30, but it's not....too narrow. It's not an exact fit for anything I have here. The label's partially scratched off so I can't tell what it is.
Dimensions of the table are 26" wide by about 18" deep by 19" high. I'm thinking it might be for a 630TS, but I'm not certain. |
We have a similar table at our museum that fits an RCA T-100, and similar sets. Maybe yours is like that.

A quick measure of my 630TS says it's 26 wide and 18 deep (not including the mask which protrudes slightly).
Could be for a 630 but I could swear the 630 stands I've seen online have a lower shelf or at least bracing? Edit: like this one, any evidence yours had a lower shelf at one time? |
THINK...it is for an 8T241 or such Also have a table like this somewhere....buried in a garage.
|
I measured an 8T243 (same chassis as the 241) and it's 20 deep x 23 wide, it also seems too heavy for that unreinforced table.
I wonder if this table could be for a record player? Without the lower bracing it seems too weak to hold any 40's TV set? |
My recently acquired Dumont Doghouse is actually sitting on it at the moment. Not exactly a perfect fit, but it's up off the floor. Holding that just fine, weight wise, at least....
|
My Dumont table has a shelf too, like the one for the RCA 630. Watch out for all that weight!!!
|
The Dumont got switched to a nice sturdy end table. The RCA stand is gonna go up in the rafters of the garage for now.....unless I find someone that needs it, or find out what it goes to.
