Looking for Banana plug, to Fluke/Extech test lead set.

B&K makes a test lead set that has a banana to Fluke/Extech test lead adapter included. I am unable to find just this adapter. I have a good set of Fluke leads I want to use on a vintage Simpson 260. Does anyone know where I could find some

If you are going to dedicate the probe set to the 260, why not just trim off the shrouds from around the Fluke banana plugs and plug them in directly?

What I want to do is use the Fluke test leads I already have on the 260, plus I have an HP 400HR VTVM, and a couple of other pieces of vintage test equipment that uses banana plugs. I have test leads for them but I would like to use the hook probes on the Fluke set.

You should be able to trim the plastic shrouds from around the meter end of the fluke probes, exposing a metal banana type plug that will fit the Simpson or the HP. Use an Xacto blade or similar.
The modern versions of banana plugs are usually shrouded for safety, unlike the old days. The old style unshrouded plugs will work in modern meters just fine, but not meet the modern safety ratings. |
