That looks awfully similar to the Dimensia remotes. Not sure about which VCR though. Probably from the Dimensia era though.

Some of those remotes also worked their CED videodisc players.

Yep. The Hitachi-made for RCA portable beast that needed a new idler ass'y that attached to a reel drive motor, almost 100% of the time.
