CRT Tester

I feel I am at the stage where I need to buy a CRT tester to move forward in the hobby. What will I test? The oldest is a 17BP4, the newest a 23XP22, and anything in between. I won't use it very often, I just want something which I can use to "wake up" old tubes, and also to decide if a TV is repairable or not before putting effort into it. Looking for low cost over convenience, and it need not be perfectly accurate, just want a relative indication of if a tube is working or not. Any suggestions?

I had a B&K 466 before I got my CR-70, it was a pretty reliable unit and they are always on fleabay for nickels.

Threw in a bid on linked auction - thanks for the heads up, this is exactly the sort of unit I wanted, I see adaptors are included which is nice.

If it doesn't have the adapters you need, you'll have to make them. It's not hard, I had to make one for 70* roundie color tubes.

The 466 came!!! It's all there and had all the books except the instruction manual which I downloaded and printed out !! Time to start testing my tvs !! Using it appears to be about as simple as flying a helicopter, but I think I will get the hang of it after I read the book.
