510DZB22 Toshiba color CRT
 

picked this up today at the local swap meet.
looked like a delta, tested on CR-70 great and uses the normal 2/3/4 red etc. settings.

Not sure what it goes in but could not pass it up. I assume an early Jap set.

the B22 thru me off but according to my sencor reading it has to do with being a Japanese code that is the same as P22 for USA.

510 mm is close to a 20" CRT.
Was the number listed in the Sencore setup chart.

Yes, it had the standard early delta gun setup. Tested like new at 5v. It looks to be a NOS toshiba (not a rebuild) still has the plastic on the front of the CRT.

Didn't Toshiba take over the Westinghouse CRT plant, way back when?
Does the label state, "made in Japan or USA".

Real toshiba. They were good jugs.
DOB on this one was 35th week of 1979

I was kinda surprised to find a delta gun with that late a manufacture.

A sears or toshiba of abt that vintage. Ive seen Tosh tubes in
others but dont remember who. It is also probably a clone so may
fit others, check the sub book. '79 is about the end of deltas
especially small screens.

Didn't Zenith or RCA build a 21" table model at the time?
IIRC, Motorola and Admiral did. They used that nasty 21GFP22. It had to be a 20V type CRT after the viewable designation number changes. I know, none of those makes used a Toshiba CRT.

Zenith never did, RCA did mid 70's XL100. Sony had a 21 for a few yrs
also mid 70's. Hitachi had an odd ball 22" early 80's IIRC.
Admiral didnt we sold them till the end. I dont think Moto had 21"
they were narrow by then & ripe to sell out the TV div.
May have been others but I suffer from CRS !

I had a metal cabinet bigger screen set by the E.J. Korvette's store brand 'Xam' which had a Toshiba crt like this. They most likely built the whole set. From 1977.

That is a einzel focus delta gun. Tube was made in japan, the big A in the glass moldmark.

Nice score, any NOS color CRT around that vintage would have gone home with me as well.
