Cant find info on Hitachi TV

Hey all, been a while since I posted here.

I have a guy that has has a Hitachi model TV, 19 inch, marked with model CT820. Thinks its late 60's, but I have no image of the set and I can't find any information on google or otherwise.
Im only interested in sets that are not solid state colour sets but he isn't sure and I can't find out.

Model CT-820
Serial Y3E001786

Anyone have images/information on it?

Thanks

As a wild guess..... CT-820 with the "C" in it, it's color.... Panasonic also had "C"'s in their color line, but others did not, so it's only a small itty bitty kinda non scientific guess......

Not sure about that model number being correct, but mid seventies vintage maybe..

I cant remember a Hitachi tube job but that was a long time
ago. Ask if it says "solid state" on it. Almost all did if they
were then it was a big deal. Also check the power
consumption on the label. If under 100W almost has to be
SS. Most were abt 75W.

We had two Hitachi tube color sets in the family. They were both branded "AMC", from Boston Store, at the time. I also saw them branded, Emerson and Coronado.
All metal cabinet and back, probably the heaviest 18" set at the time.
I remember it having several 6GH8's, like some RCA's.

The Hitachi color sets from 1970-'71 were really well-built. They were solid state.

Hi Daave, I checked my Sams Index tonight, cannot find a listing at all, for the Hitachi CT 820! Thought it was worth checking, I was curious, too, if it was at least a Hybrid set.

The first color TV bought in my close family was a 19-inch Hitachi solid-state set in 1974 for my grandmother for her 80th birthday. If I had enough room, I would try to find one like it. It was probably a set highly rated in Consumer Reports magazine that year, so if I found old issues of the magazine (or their year-end Buyer's Guide), I could likely get its model number. It was definitely a nice-performing set, with AFT separate from the "one-button color" that was common at the time.
