Estate sale find, first in a long time. 1969 Admiral color

I found it in Zion Il in a 1960's home, probably been there since new. It has "Lindys TV" stickers on it from a long time ago, I remember that shop was still open up until a few years ago. I was pretty exited to find any tube color set at an estate sale since it's been so long. I paid 50 cents for it being it's half price day :D A few people were staring at me funny carrying a mini console down the stairs myself, they just kept staring at me......I thought hmmm, is there something on my face?!?!:) I know I'm weird but no need to stare  Maybe it's 'cause I'm so pretty.....not. :)Anyways, it made me uncomfortable and I didn't check the rest of the house. I think this was the only good one as all the tvs were in one room it seemed. I took a picture of the house and the set in my van, I'll add those later. I'm at Dunkin Donuts drinkin' iced coffee right now:D

Sounds like you made an excellent find! And, yeah, I love all the looks of disbelief from people because they can't believe someone would actually want an old TV.

I like my 55" LG LED but there are so many times I miss the old Maggie 25" console we had when I was a kid in the 80's. I remember the ultrasonic remote and the noise it made.....thought that was so cool!!!

thats the same thing that happened to me last week when i picked up that halolight in downtown elkhart , here i am in a buissy downtown traffic waiting at crossing lights pushing a tv around people walking on the side walks, and a the young girl carrying the rest tv behind me ,and she was dressed in a vary nice black evening dress , talk about looks from people,we both thought it was funny to, we must be sight i said.

Wow, congrats on your Admiral find! :-) I'm anxious to see the pictures, I remember working on one from around that time period, but it was in a metal table top cabinet. I think the mini-console's are COOL, and rare-er, especially nowadays. Had to laugh about the people staring, it doesn't even bother me, I'm used to getting looks at me, and all the old stuff I have picked up over the years, starting back when I was young, hauling sets out of the dump, or away from someone's trash at the street! And of course I probably looked as excited as a kid with a new toy! I probably still have that look, sometimes. :-)

Nice.
Those mini consoles ain't all that easy to find...I'd say they are on par rarity wise with Japanese tube color sets.

Closest I've come to owning a Maggy color was the tuner and speakers I got from one that had an 80's Zenith stuffed where the guts were.
