A Horse Float is a Lorry that you carry Horses around the Country (Is this Only NZ terminology)

I think we call 'em horse trailers(as most don't want to ride in the same cab as their horses) here in the states, but I'm not someone who has really lived in horse country.

I'm glad to see that someone else is saving this kind of stuff. Over the last seven years, my big project has been restoring a 1949 TV Mobile Unit, the DuMont Telecruiser. See what I've been up to at www.telecruiser.com

The only other old mobile units I know of belong to the Early Television Foundation and Chuck Pharis. Chuck's is a real "fixer upper." For that matter,so was the Telecruiser. I hope there are more. I'd love to hear about them.

Good luck getting a vintage Neve cheap as they have acquired a Cult Audio Status.

Reminds me of the reverence McCurdy had at one time. One of my previous employers had them everywhere. Couldn't believe the noise floor in ours. Just I was leaving, Pacific Recorders and Engineers BMX series consoles were arriving.

Seems like the "difference" between a Chevy and a Cadillac. Until recently, there really wasn't much different between the two...

So Rupert sells the business in 1973 and it is again sold to giant Siemens who
consolidate it with AMS. So it's going to cost you to have the "Neve" sound!

Then, surprise, Rupert resurfaces in Texas with Rupert Neve Designs!

So which company will give me the real Neve magic sound?

Amongst the new products are the 5088 console strips w/ multiple transformers in path
And the 500 series 'Tape Emulators' that reintroduce tape recorder distortions into sound?

Note to recording industry:
I don't want my audio through transformers or w/ added distortion thanks.
