Remember these 13" Admiral B&W's?

Can't remember what's wrong with this one ( I think a cap blew)
I was going to toss it, as it's been stored in my garage for years, but took it down to the basement, and may open it up. I just remember a ton of these coming in for service in the 80's, and I always thought they were kinda cool, as they were super slim. Anybody have any working examples? |

The 13" was uncommon at the time. It had only two stages of IF, but it had keyed AGC, so it was a great DXing set. :thmbsp: |
Admiral had sure become a major player in bw portables at that time; I've had a few but never the 13-I used to think it would be neat to have the whole line, from the 9" on up to the 21". (I had a 21 once and it was a very nice set)

I have two of the 11 inch ones like this.

I scrapped the 11, as it was in poor shape and the CRT was weak. :sigh: |
