Moved in 2 days ago, my Admiral TV looks to be in good shape. Still have to find the cheater cord, and a source of RF analog TV signals, so I don't know yet if something inside broke. CRT still looks to have vacuum. I wrapped the cabinet with Saran Wrap, around where the knobs are, to keep the knobs from falling off and getting lost. Looks like that worked well. I never did have the door. |
Amazing that bakelite console lived through it! Always liked those sets. Good source of analog signals I use is a digital converter off rabbit ears; I get lots of channels that way. Of course, your source of knowledge for all Admiral esoterica is going to be bandersen!

Did you move? I thought I have seen that set before.

Found a cheater cord, and connected a DTV converter box.:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: |
That is really really really cool.
