tele-check
At a local flee market I saw what looked to be a small tube caddy and opened it up to find it is a tele-check. I really wish I had brought my phone inorder to take pictures but I did not. Basically it is a crt/deflection yoke substitution box. The directions state that it can be used with electrostatic or standard crt's.
The box contained directions, a built in deflection yoke, wires to connect to your tv, and 5" crt(5axp4 if my memory serves correctly). The crt's screen sat in a cutout so you would look at it from the outside. Maybe I am posting this in the wrong spot but if there is any interest let me know. The price is $30.00 but I could probably talk them down. It Is not mine nor do I have any affiliation with the store. |
Those are handy if you work on old TVs regularly:

I have one made by Sel-Son and it has proven very helpful. Most recently used it on a 721TS. Much easier to do powered-up under-chassis work using these vs. just a test tube. I probably paid around $15 for mine but $30 isn't crazy.
