Looks like the entire front faceplate is missing. It should be black with silver lettering, IIRC, and the channel numbers should light up yellow when the TV is on, again if I remember this set correctly.
Nineteen sixties vintage Motorola is probably right as to the manufacturer of this set. The last time I saw a portable TV like that one was in the early 1970s in West Virginia, at my late stepmother's folks' home. Theirs was on cable (long before the days of DTV, computerized cable boxes, and wired neighborhoods; the cable was connected directly to the set) and the cable system in their area (near Clarksburg) carried stations from as far away as Pittsburgh and Wheeling. I bet today they would be amazed at the number of stations the cable carries, although the days of importing distant signals ended with the advent of superstations the likes of WTBS in Atlanta, WOR in New York, KTLA in Los Angeles, et al.
